Norwell EDGE is an online training platform for the global oil and gas sector.
We are a company incorporated in Scotland. Our company number is SC211425 and our registered office is 78 Queen’s Road, Aberdeen, AB15 4YE.
We collect basic personal data about you to ensure we can provide and optimise our training platform for users.
As part of our business development we also collect basic personal data of people at relevant organisations who we have believe are likely to be interested in Norwell EDGE, this falls under the legitimate interest basis.
Data includes your name, contact details and city.
Why we collect your data
Norwell EDGE requires your data so that we can provide access to your secure training portal, optimise the platform for your use and, permission permitting, provide employers who have a corporate subscription with an audit trail of their users’ completed modules. We also use your data to keep you informed of relevant EDGE news, updates and events. You can opt-out of these updates at any time.

How we use your data
All the personal data we collect is processed in the UK.
Your details are stored on our secure customer relationship management system (CRM) Zoho.
We use your information to create and manage your account, and for business development purposes.
Corporate clients’ financial data is held securely with restricted access to authorised personnel only.
Marketing communication
We may you to let you know about updates to the EDGE platform, relevant news and articles as well as EDGE events that you may be interested in.
We’ll only be in touch when we have something to tell you that we think you’ll be interested in hearing.

Newsletter
When you fill out a webform to sign up to a newsletter, download a resource, such as an infographic, or enquire about a product, we may ask you to provide certain personal information, including your:
- name;
- email address and
- location
By completing the form and ticking the relevant boxes you are providing your consent for Norwell EDGE to process your personal data, and this is the legal basis we are relying on to do so.
We will use the information that you give us to send you relevant emails containing Norwell EDGE news & marketing communications. Your information will be stored by a third party data processor; MailChimp, whose servers are located in the US, you can read their privacy information: here.
In addition, if you have enquired about training we will use the information you have given to update our customer relationship management system so that we can contact you. This information will also be stored by another third-party data processor, Zoho CRM. You can read their privacy policy here.
Some automation and profiling may be used to send emails or a series emails based on your indicated preferences and your interactions with the emails we send to you. For example, if you live in a particular country, we may send you email about EDGE representatives visiting and speaking with people in the oil and gas industry there.
We regularly review your interactions with the emails we send you and remove any subscribers who have shown and extended period of inactivity. You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link at the bottom our email communications or by emailing this address.
If you continue to interact with our emails or website, we will retain your data indefinitely so that we can continue to send you emails.
We also post updates on our social media channels.
We will never share, sell or trade your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
